Hi everyone! How have you been? I know long time no blogpost; I took some time off because my friend needed me (had a family member in the hospital) and than my grandfather and to have surgery this week but thank God both of them are doing well and out of hospital! I conquered my fear of hospitals (I'd have such bad anxiety). Also, it was my birthday on the 16th and I have now been alive for a quarter of a century! How crazy is that, twenty five is a wired number to get use to, I think anyway. I'm going to do my best at getting back into a regular routine again since my blog does give me the ability to express my creativity and keeps me busy especially if I'm feeling anxious. I've missed it a lot.

MADEWELL FRON TIE TEE // BOYFRIEND SHORTS // LINEN SHORTS // JUMPSUIT // FREE PEOPLE MINI DRESS // SHOW ME YOUR MUMU DRESS // MOCK NECK TANK Everything from to the clothes I’ve been adding to my cart and the skincare I’m switching over to is ready for spring — the only thing that’s missing is the actual weather. I tend to get over seasons while we’re still in them because I love constant change, but winter is especially one I’m excited to leave behind. I've slowly been doing some spring cleaning (you know, life happens and you get suddenly busy), because when the weather is finally nice, I’d like to be outside enjoying it instead of clearing out the clutter inside. You know what I mean? CELINE SUNGLASSES // BLACK WEDGES // SEA SHELL NECKLACE // TORTOISE SHELL EARRINGS // TOUS BRACELET // BAUBLE BAR EARRINGS I can't wait to wear some of my dresses; I know who am I, if you told me when I was thirteen that I would eventually love dresses, I would have laughed so hard! I'm also loving the tortoise print trend this season, H&M have some excellent and affordable jewellery pieces. Speaking of jewellery, sea shell necklaces and pearls are great leading up to summer. I have been looking for a good pair of wedges for a year now and randomly went into old navy with a friend last weekend and these ones (above) were exactly what I wanted and affordable too!
DIOR ORANGE SIENNA // SALLY HANSEN LET'S SNOW // CHANEL // ESSIE BIKINI SO TEENY // CHINA GLAZE FLIP FLOP FANTASY // CHINA GLAZE LOVE'S A BEACH I loved nail polish when I was a little girl, I loved to experiment with colour and change it up all the time! Now a days I’m usually a nude nail polish kind of gal, but every now and then I mix it up! Spring and especially summer, always makes me want to experiment and get out of my comfort zone and I tend to gravitate to deep light blues, pink, and bright shades. I painted my nails for a bridal this Sunday, so I thought I would share some other colours that are perfect for the season…
March favourites include items I've been testing for months, fallen head over heels for, and one item I don't think I've shared before. March was pretty crazy start because it was a whole of nannying (part-time), which I'm proud of myself. It's crazy how it is already April, hope you all are having a great start so far. GLOSSIER CLOUD PAINT IN BEAM: As you all know I LOVE cream brush and the cloud paints have always been on my "need to try list". I love how light, sheer, and buildable they are; I can imagine using this all through the summer months. I now of course want all the shades now! This shade Beam is a light coral- with a hint of orange in it (which is why i picked, I don't have anything like this colour in my collection). GLOSSIER COCONUT BALM DOTCOM: If you love coconut and lip balms, you need this asap! This lip balm I call my to-go vaseline because it is a multi-use product, you put it on dry patches on your skin, on dry cuticles, etc. I really want to try the mango one now (their newest flavour), apparently it smells like summer!! KORA ORGANICS NONI RADIANT EYE OIL: I started using this eye oil in December of last year when I had a enough of the milia bumps (you can google it for more info) under my eyes, I had been getting them for a few years now and found out through research that certain ingredients cause the bumps to form. I found this product on the Clean section on Sephora's website; the Kora Organics noni eye oil was the only that didn't have those ingredients, is hydrating, and anti-aging. I love that the eye oil is not greasy, sinks into the skin quickly, and looks great under makeup! BUXOM FULL ON LIP POLISH IN KIMBERLY: You all know my love for the lip gloss; I love the sparkle, it's hydrating, and I get so many compliments when I wear it. So sad to see it go but can't wait to pick a new tube. LOUIS VUITTON MY FAIR LADY SUNGLASSES: I got these sunglasses last November when I returned a handbag and got a store credit. I would have never check out the sunglasses range at Louis Vuitton if it wasn't for my S.A. I love how they lift my face, the print is so pretty, and they feel so comfortable to wear all day. ADIDAS SNEAKERS: Since we had a few times of nice weather that didn't require boots, it was great to dig through my sneakers and I just love the colour of these. Plus, they are so comfy to wear. MOROCCAN OIL TREATMENT: I recently found out that this oil makes your blonde go darker tint, especially if you already have orange undertones to hair naturally. Which I was said to learn cause there are a lot of oils I can't use because they have alcohol in it. Hopefully this was a help tip for you; for now this is not going to a be a favourite.
I know I tend to play it safe when it comes to my everyday make up, but I love to try new products and give my routines a seasonal reshuffle, especially for spring when I tend to embrace dewy skin and pops of pastel so much more! I just love experimenting with new products. Spring is the season about embracing change and I just love that I can start to send more time outside, reorganize (spring cleaning), and just feel more light and airy. These are the items that are on my wish/need to try list and also some inspo to inspire to change up your skincare and makeup routine this season! GLOSSIER LIDSTAR // BY TERRY DUO POWDER // KORA ORGANICS EXFOLIATING MASK // CHARLOTTE TILBURY PILLOW TALK EYESHADOW PALETTE // LIP TOPPER // LUMI GLOWTION // SPF MOISTURIZER // VITAMIN C SERUM // LASH SERUM Next week you'll be seeing 2 blogposts; I'm slowly getting back into a routine with the blog, thanks for understanding. Have a great weekend loves! xoxo Because I am human, there are often many times where I don’t where eye shadow at all and I wear cream shadows instead because they are easy, just through one on (not literally) and your good to go. But on the days where I maybe have time or want to wear more eye makeup, these are my go - to's currently. These palettes are truly versatile. CHARLOTTE TILBURY PILLOW TALK EYESHADOW PALETTE. As you all know, I'm obsessed with the pillow talk lipstick so picking this palette up was a no brainer. When I did bring this home I did later ask myself 'will these pink tones suit me", that quickly went away after playing with it. Love how the colours are so easy to dress up or can be natural. An easy compact palette. ANASTASIA SOFT GLAM EYESHADOW PALETTE. I asked for this palette for Christmas because I felt I was missing a palette that had everything in one/different options. This palette can make so many different looks to a natural look to a smokey eye. I love how this palette has a lot of light shimmery colours, good to apply over the lid for a simple look and like the names suggests all the colours are a soft glam (dad jokes hahaha). Perfect to use for a wedding! TOO FACED NATURAL EYES EYESHADOW PALTTE. I've had this palette for a year now it it is definitely a staple. This palette makes a great gift, perfect palette if your just getting into makeup, and one if your looking for that all-in one. Love the brown shades and literally does what it says on the tin. Could not recommend this one enough more to try.
Spring shopping is helping me get through this long winter and today I’m sharing a few essentials and pieces I have my eye on for the next season. I don't always follow trends, I go by what I'm loving / maybe something is missing from my wardrobe. I have notice when Im browsing online I'm loving espadrilles (above are Chanel dupes!), wedges (which seem to be on trend, but to me are a classic), and been looking at these blue flats forever! I love these white slide sandals, really loved my tan slides from last year, I practically wore them every single day during summer.
I have been switching around my makeup and wardrobe for spring, let me know if like to see a blogpost on that next week. Next week it’s spring break in Canada (we call it March Break here) and some of you might already be on your sunny vacations or departing soon, since I'm not going on a trip (can someone pack me in their suitcase hahaha) I thought I’d share my packing essentials… SUITCASE // PASSPORT HOLDER // SUNGLASSES // HAT // INSTAX CAMERA // BOBBI BROWN BEACH PERFUME // BRAZILIAN CRUSH BODY SPRAY // FACE SPF Practice safe sun by bringing lots of SPF with you! I have one for my face (LA ROCHE-POSEY), Sun Bum & Hawaiian Tropic for my body. I never leave without this in my luggage, or my beach bag! SCALLOP BIKINI TOP // SCALLOP BOTTOMS // BOYFRIEND DENIM SHORTS // DRESS // SANDALS // SNEAKERS // ONE PIECE SWIMSUIT // WEDGES Enjoy your March Break and your weekend everyone xoxo MIRROR // VASE // SALT LAMP // BEACH UMBRELLA PRINT // GREY PILLOW // POM POM PILLOW // BASKET // DIPTYQUE ROSES CANDLE // CAPRI CANDLE So today I’m sharing some inso of pieces I want to bring into my home/ bedroom hahaha, for the next season. I love the look of fresh (faux) flowers all year round — it brings life into your space when it’s dull outside. I also got some new candles recently to brighten my mood when its a blizzard outside. A few ways to switch up the vibe of your place for the next season are little details like throw blankets, pillows, art and decorative objects… Just a reminder, there is going to be a new blogpost schedule starting next week, I will be posted on Wednesday's or Friday's OR both days. I will explain once everything in finalized.
Thanks you reading and hoping enjoying my posts. Hope you all a relaxing weekend! xoxo My first favourites blogpost of 2019! I pretty much didn't wear makeup for the whole month, which was why I decided to skip a monthly faves round-up. In the winter for some reason is when I wear the least amount of makeup, because of all the wind, snow, etc, I just like my skin to breath and keep it very hydrated. ELIZABETH ARDEN EIGHT HOUR CREAM: This has been my hero product this month! After being hit with a cold last week (still have a stuffy nose), this protectant cream has kept my nose hydrated and a bearer from irritating the skin from when I'm blowing my nose 100 times a day! I have the fragrance-free formula because that was only one left; I can truly see why this product has a huge cult following, there are so many uses for this product, dry cuticles, heels cuts, and of course many more. New must-have to add to my winter survival kit! CHARLOTTE TILBURY PILLOW TALK BLUSH: When I have been wearing makeup, I've been reaching for this blush always. So incredibly happy that Charlotte Tilbury made a pillow talk blush because this blush is made for everyone, adds so much life to your face, even of you are not a fan of blush, this blush adds a very light wash of colour to your face. HYDRALURON SERUM: This a great hydrating serum to use if your in the market to try one. It has a tacky consistency which is great for your moisturizer to absorb and give you more hydration. Also this serum is not going to break the bank because this brand is reasonably priced if your on a budget and looking for good skincare. This is from the brand Indeed Laboratories a Canadian skincare brand, which I've known about for a few years and saw that they are in Shoppers Drugmart, they have so many different options. SAND + FOG CANDLE IN SUN N FUN: Picked up the candle while shopping at Homesense with my mom last week (we love that store). This candle has a been up lifting me when I'm wishing for spring to come and looking out to snow and strong winds out my window. NEUTROGENA HYDRO BOOST BODY GEL CREAM: Out of body moisturizer, I needed to something quick and while I was looking at this in the aisle it seem to check of my boxes, fast absorbing, hydrating, and smells good. I was pleasantly surprised by a good works. KOPARI COCONUT ROSE TONER: I was in the market for a new toner and when smelled this toner I was hooked, my two favourite scents combined, A+ from me. Of course I wasn't surprised that it worked well, the spray is nice and even and of course hydrating! I have loved everything so far from Kopari's skincare range. There is going to be a new blogpost schedule starting next week, I will be posted on Wednesday's or Friday's OR both days. I will explain once everything in finalized. Thanks you reading and hoping enjoying my posts. Hope you all are having a great week so far! xoxo |
