These are a few of my favourite products/brands to splurge on that I believe are worth the extra bucks -Dior Skin Nude BB Cream is more than a BB cream, it gives a medium coverage and has amazing staying power. Only down side is that it only comes in four shades. I have recommended to all my friends. -Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is a cult favourite that I also love. -Charlotte Tilbury Lipsticks are not only pretty, but they last a long time, don't dry out your lips, & comes in different formulations. They also have the best nude lipstick shades. -Burberry Eyeshadows are the just perfect for someone if they are not into have loads have eyeshadow palettes, perfect for the "no fuss" eye look. -Charlotte Tilbury in general is a brand worth the splurge; their mini brush kit works just a well as any full size. The Instant Look in a Palette is not only good for traveling but, an amazing palette for someone who is not fussy about makeup and wants something easy to use! Of course, we cannot forget about the famous Filmstar bronze & glow palette, it's a must have. -Chanel L'eau No5 smells good on everybody; cannot recommend it enough. Love, Brittany

I haven't been wearing eyeshadow this month, mostly just cream shadows or nothing (I always wear my NARS eyeshadow base though, oily lids). The MAC painterly paint pot is what I've reached for the most! It has a nude-pinkish undertone, looks very natural, and easy to blend with just one brush with the Sigma E25. Now I want to get more colours. The weather has so dry here in Toronto lately that I've had to a hydrating mask more often, about twice a week and the Fresh Rose face mask is the best. I have talked about this one before, but basically its super hydrating and makes your skin glow which is always a plus! The Tarte blush in the shade exposed is what I wore all month long. Its almost like a contour shade, but a tad bit more pink so it looks natural, great if your someone who doesn't always wear blush. The Dior Lipglow pomade has been all I'm wearing! Looks great with lipliner underneath or on its own; Its not thick or sticky so it last so long without having to reapply. My new favourite show on Netflix is My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman. Even though theres only one episode so far; first guest was President Obama, it was very interesting and surprisingly entertaining as while. Highly recommend checking it out. This is the Incognito Initial Y-Chain from BaubleBar. This is such a great necklace to wear with sweater and winter clothing because, its not a necklace that going to get in the way with your coats, scarfs, and all your layers. You can get your initials for free; I of course got B. BaubleBar is affordable, great quality, and has so many different items to chose from. The BP. fleece pants are so cozy, comfortable, great for lounging in on the weekends. Just go get yourself a pair from Nordstrom (their super affordable). Love, Brittany
*not Sponsored* Today's Top Three Skincare Favourites is eye creams! Eye cream is very important step that a lot of people skip in their skincare routine, even though the skin around the eyes is one of the first signs of aging (crow's feet). It's one of the most sensitive area on your face. Some people get dry under eyes, are sensitive, seasonal allergies, wind blowing in your face; there's a lot of key factors. I used to only care about anti-aging eye creams (never too early to start), but know I focus on hydration because that helps make my makeup apply much smoother. Can you believe this is the last instalment of the Top Three series? (thinking of doing more of these in future if you guys like) I hope you found it helpful and have a good weekend. Clinique all about eyes: -no fragrance -have repurchased two already (does finish up quick fast) -only $30 - very hydrating during winter months -great for morning and night Bobbi Brown hydrating eye cream: -very hydrating -sits great under makeup -you need to let it settle in for 5-10mins so your makeup doesn't move -if you need something heavy duty, try the extra repair eye cream from Bobbi Brown Shiseido Anti-dark circles eye cream: -thicker eye cream -I preferred to use it at night -if you have dry/textured under eyes this is perfect -great for tried eyes Love, Brittany
Taking off all my makeup is the most important step in my skincare routine. Your skin repairs itself while your sleeping, even if I'm sick, tired or in a food coma, I will always remove my makeup. But, it is even more important that you remove it all properly; if your using makeup wipes or a foaming cleanser then you need to stop! They strip or skin, your faces if dry, and your going to breakout because your skin is unbalanced. All you have to do if apply the cleansing balm or oil on to face using dry hands and massage all your makeup off; its really that easy! Ever since I learned about cleansing oils and balms about six years ago my skin feels clean and balanced. here are my absolute favourites! MAC Cleanse Off Oil: -they first one I ever tried and still love -MAC does have a blue one thats scented, still need to try it -has a thin oil texture -if you have you water-proof mascaras, this doesn't take all of it off Clinique take the day off Cleansing Balm: -no fragrance -cleansing balms are perfect for the winter time because its more nourishing -my favourite cleansing balm -if your looking for an even more affordable option, the Body Shop has an amazing dupe that my sister swears by! Boscia Makeup Breakup Cleansing Oil: -my favourite cleansing oil! -can only by from Sephora -the oil texture is slightly thicker -does go by fast -especially love using this in the warmer months -highly recommend Love, Brittany
*not sponsored* Welcome back to this weeks instalment of my Top Three Favourites, this week is the all about skincare products. By the way, sorry about being m.i.a yesterday; had a really bad headache. Today first post is all about moisturizers, like I pointed out ^ this is not sponsored, I just really love Clinique's moisturizers, how they make my skin feel, and how affordable they are. Scroll down to learn more and I will see you hear tomorrow. -Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief: -has a gel texture -perfect for layering, the more you layer you can wear it a "leave-on" mask at night time -this is my night time moisturizer, I like using thick ones in the morning -this jar size was limited edition from Nordstrom -my sister uses this one too! -great price Clinique Moisture surge Intense: -great to wear before putting on your makeup -your skin feels like velvet -amazing if you have dehydrated skin -great price -calms down redness Clinique even better moisturizer SPF 20
-has SPF which is important to wear all year round -helps fade acne scars -does have that suncreen smell if that concerns you -great if you have dry skin -perfect all-in one product It's the last day of my Top three Makeup Favourites and I had to save the best for last, blush! I have always love to put on blush, I think it brings life back into your face with all that foundation and concealer we put on. I favourite blush colours are pink-peachy blush and also "contour" like colours, but lets be honest I really love cream blushes. Cream blushes are perfect for me, since I have dry skin, it really just blends well for me and also looks natural. I hope you enjoyed this weeks Top Three Favourites for Makeup because next weeks posts are all bout my Top Three Favourites for Skincare! Chanel Blush in Rose Initial: -very sheer wash of colour -perfect if your just getting into using blushes -Chanel has mostly pink shades -they smell amazing! -great for everyday NARS Liquid Blush in Orgasm: -I do like NARS' powder blushes; but this formula is the better -very pigmented -It really is a liquid formula; other brands just do cream formulations -I do love the orgasm powder blush still -if you love cream blushes than this is a most have to try! Tarte Amazonian clay 12-Hour blush in Exposed: -a very popular shade from this brand -great colour if you not into pink blushes -lasts a long time -very pigmented Love, Brittany
*not sponsored* Welcome back! Wednesday's makeup favourite is all about mascaras, I didn't take any 'before and after' photos of my lashes, because everyones lashes are different, mines are naturally long (thanks mama) and also that all mascaras don't work exactly the same. That's something I haver learned from trying so many different brands, formulas, and wand shapes over the years. I'm very particular with my mascaras, I LOVE volumizing, lengthening mascaras ; basically give me lashes like a china doll. (its a look i like) Volume de Chanel: -just like the name says it gives great volume -if you prefer waterproof formulas, they one too that great (my mom tried it out) -I love the brush on this wand -doesn't dry out quickly which I love because this mascara isn't cheap -only tried it last year, but now its one I compare others I try too L'oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara: -the only drugstore mascara I like! -the brush is similar to Too Faced better than sex mascara, which is also good -in the beginning it didn't do too much for me, but then letting it dry out a bit it was amazing to work with Lancome Hypnose Star mascara: -this was one of the first mascaras I had ever bought from Sephora (only sold online now) -it literally looks like your wearing two sets of false lashes, thats how crazy long and volumizing it is -it now comes in waterproof which they didn't have -if you can get it online please try it, its so under rated! -definitely getting this in my next online order! Love, Brittany
Happy Monday! For the next week, I am going to be talking about my top three favourite makeup items; foundations, mascaras, and blushes. I thought of this idea because then you all can always refer back to it if you want to know my all time favourites, even when I'm trying new products. I'm curious to see/know what someones all time favourite ares from the favourite kinds of makeup products. Now lets get to it! Clinique Acne Solutions foundation -even though I discovered last year, its become holy grail status to me -I has great coverage while also looking like "your skin but better" -using a beautyblender is a must or else the foundations looks creased and cakey -does it keep my acne at bay, not quite sure about that one but I LOVE the formula of this product Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation -the foundation if your going to a wedding, party, etc -has no SPF, which causes "flash-back" in photos -been using this on and off for 5 years and still love it -great medium-full coverage and aagin looks like your skin -my go-to when I have an event to go to -can be used with a sponge or brush Clinique Acne Solutions BB cream
-so light on the skin and surprisingly has excited coverage, buildable -doesn't have the best shade range -great for ALL skin types -if you love trying BB creams, this is must have! These are the products I have been reaching for when I need my makeup to last through my eyes watering and snow being blown in my face. These are my tips and tricks for all of you guys that are living with this snow/rain/wind storms out there this season; you guys living in warm countries, I envy you! Firstly, I suffer from seasonal allergies; my eyes are dry, always tearing up and then they get puffy. So I really love using the Peter Thomas Roth eye gel patches, they are cooling and really help take down the puffiness. Also the jar comes with 60 patches that will last a while (I share mine with my mom and sister who both love them too). I prefer to use a more glowly foundation to make my skin look more awake and healthy looking. The beautyblender is great, especially if you have dry skin, help hide the dry patches and make your makeup look flawless. -Clinique even better foundation -beautyblender -Almay Clear Complexion concealer -MAC prep+prime in radiant rose Adding bronzer adds definition and of course colour to your face during winter. Can't forget about the glow, this highlighter gives that natural-winter glow that I love! -Chanel Bronze Universal -Too Faced Sweetie Pie bronzer -Perricone MD no highlighter highlighter -Charlotte Tilbury Contour Wand in Fair-Medium I personally don't like wearing too much eye shadow when the weather is really bad like today (so much rain and wind). Instead, I like bold brows and lots of mascara to make my eye pop. -Sephora Lashcraft big volume mascara -NARS eye shadow base (still have to wear primer cause I have oily eye lids) -Benefit Goof Proof brow pencil in #3 -Anastahia brow gel -Shu Uemura eye lash curlers -Tarte blush in exposed -Chanel blush in rose initial Now, while your on the go, the blotterazzi is amazing to touching up your makeup, great to keep in your bag after coming inside from the snow hitting your face and eye watering from how cold it is.
Hope this was helpful and stay warm! Love, Brittany *not sponsored by Nordstrom, just like to shop there* Since I've been wearing mostly sweat pants, big coats, and boats; typically winter uniform, I wanted to share my three favourite items from wardrobe. First up is the beautiful cardigan from Free People. I love the over-sized fit, the blush colour, and how it goes with everything. I picked it up at Sporting Life because I loved the pink colour, it was sold out at Nordstrom and now back in stock at 40% off! It also comes in a gorgeous royal blue shade too. Next is the BP. fleece jogger pants, these pants are super soft that I feel like I'm wearing pyjamas. At first I thought they were cashmere because thats how soft the fleece is. I like how they a just a bit fitted at the ankles, but still have a lose/oversized fit, they feel true to size. I love the gray colour of course. Last up, is the Rails Hunter Plaid Shirts, again super soft (are you sensing a theme here). Since it is winter, every building you go into has the heating on full blast, I don't like to be hot so I wear layers like how I styled the Rails top with a V-neck t-shirt. They are pricey which is why I wait until they were on sale, sometimes if you go in store they have a little sale going on that they are not doing online; there are so many colour to choose from.
