*not sponsored* I've had scalp psoriasis since I was fourteen years old, it's skin disorder that makes raised, reddish, often scaly patches. It can pop up as a single patch or several, I have it ALL over my scalp. During the spring and summer months my scalp doesn't feel as itchy and irritated, I find when the weather changes frequently thats when it's at its worse. Only in the last few years I have learned what products work and don't work for me, I have to use my medicated-prescription cream; the doctor said I have to use baby shampoo forever (I still use a few products with alcohol) because it is gentle and alcohol-free, but I remembered that LUSH make natural and a lot of alcohol-free products (they make so much) and I have been using them ever since. I'm always trying new things and will keep you updated. Here are my faves that I use! FAIRLY TRADED HONEY SHAMPOO- -makes your hair shiny -moisturizing -gives volume at the root BIG SHAMPOO- -exfoliating shampoo -I use this once every other week (depending how much product I use and need a refresh) -has sea salt grains in it -gives volume & feels super soft after DADDY-O SHAMPOO- -its a purple shampoo -gives blonde hair from getting brassy -not drying AMERICAN CREAM CONDITIONER- -my favourite conditioner from lush -very hydrating if you have dry hair -smells just like strawberries! JASMINE AND HENNA FLUFF-EAZE HAIR TREATMENT- -great if you have frizzy hair, smoothes your hair out -smells amazing -great to use in as a leave in mask for 20 minutes (or more) or if you like thicker conditioners in the shower -great for strengthening hair SUNNY DAY-
-the best hair detangler -smells like lavender BUMBLE AND BUMBLE DON'T BLOW IT (H)AIR STYLER- -has alcohol but doesn't irritate my slap -they have it for fine & thick hair types -great to use on vacation -gives my hair this beachy, soft-waves look -allows to give my hair a break from using hot tools ALTERNA CC CREAM- -been using this product on and off for years -my feels so soft after -does have alcohol -using this until I find an alcohol-free hair oil Sunscreen (SPF) is very important to me; from someone who has suffered with hormonal acne and always burning/slightly red whenever I'm in the sun, protecting my skin is my first priority over my makeup. Protecting your skin helps with anti-aging, your hands, chest and eyes are the first signs of aging. When you wear SPF under your makeup, your helping your scaring from acne fade and/or from the skincare you use to get rid of acne. Another thing to keep in mind if if your not mindful of wearing SPF you can get sun spots! Sun spots are very hard to get rid of, they take a long time to fade, there is a lot of trail and error to figure out what protect works best to fade the spots, and you have to stick with it in order to see improvement. Remember sunscreen isn't just important from spring and summer, its important all-year round! Hope you all had a great long weekend and Happy Wednesday!
See you again Friday xoxo I am soo ready for summer, anyone else get like that when your in between seasons? Here's a edit of skincare, beauty, new-ins I want to try, or items I still love. (not sponsored) Wanted to share my favourite pair of shoes that I break out as soon as the temperatures hit 14℃. Some of these sandals I had for years ( and one new pair heheh); I prefer to buy "classic"shoes that if I don't wear for two years, I can pick them up again and still love them. Can you sense a theme? I lean towards neutral tones & shoes that make a statement, my clothes are usually simple. Links to everything below (not sponsored) & today is my 24th birthday, crazy huh?! Happy Wednesday :) Slide Sandal - Sam Edelman
- Great quality - Look like dupe for the Hermes leather sandals - Very comfortable to wear & go with everything Tory Burch Miller Sandal -Have had these for years and I still love them -Did take a little while to break them in, haven't had any problems since then -They are a little pricey, but these I consider to be a classic pair -So many colours -This style of sandal is currently in right now My general rule on when it's is time to through a way makeup or skincare is read the expire date, should be easy right? It is a picture of a jar opened with a number on it, sometimes it can be hard to find it since it can be printed small. With skincare products, I ALWAYS stick to what the product says when it goes out of date; but with curtain makeup products you can be a a little more flexible Here are a list of makeup/skincare products I keep past expiration date:
