I love picking up new makeup to try out, but I really enjoy using with products that I really enjoyed using last to see if I still like the products or see how I've changed. Fall is the season of change after all. Last year, I did enjoy wearing a more full-coverage look while I'm still very into my "skin looking like skin" bases. I'm still continuing to use cream contour products, which will be hard to decide which ones for my "Top 17 of 2017" at the end of the year! I ramble; this is just a tiny haul, I still have 2 or 3 things I wanted to order, but I still wanted to share. Have a Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians, and I will be posted on Monday, my gift to you! I wanted to show your my skincare routine, really, but really, it's generally the same all year; I don't like to change my routine a how lot because, I want to see results, give the products I'm using a fair chance, and if my skin is doing well, why change. Hope that made sense. This time of year while the weather is getting colder and were starting to maybe turn on the heating some days, my skin gets more dry. I like to use a bit of a more thicker moisturizer during the day; like the Clinique moisture surge intense, its perfect under makeup, then at night I use a gel moisturizer to balance my skin. Plus, I use face masks more frequently then in the summer months; masks that are of course more hydrating, environmental repair, and more radiance geared mask. I enjoy using body oils since my body is more dry then my skin (believe it or not), its crazy what the colder months do! A body oil lasts longer plus feels like its doing more then a typical body lotion, it just works for me. Still looking to try other body oils. Lasts but certainly not least, lip balms, they are essential for all year-round but in the fall and winter, I don't know what I would do if I left the house without one. You don't need to be fancy and get a Chanel one, but I'm a sucker for nice packaging, but I do have to say this Chanel lip balm is great! Love, Brittany This post is inspired by a recent article on Into the Gloss on "cool girl" essential products. I'm a self proclaimed beauty junkie and I do love seeing new launches and new brands come out, but sometimes it can be over whelming for overs who are just starting out in makeup, need a helping hand in finding something for their skin; even for a self confessed beauty junkie like myself. When I saw a few of them over on ITG it got me thinking about some others that I wanted to add to my own list – so here goes! Dior Creme de Rose lip balm: This lip product is something that I always go back to, even if I was trying a different lip balm. Not only do I love it cause it's rose scented, but how no matter if my lip are dry or champed, it instantly works without fail. Even though its on the pricey side (and usually buy back-ups during the Sephora VIB sale), it does work so well. YSL Volupté Tint-in-Balm in 7: Another lip balm, yes. This one is special because it is the first product I ever bought (with Xmas money) that knew nothing about and discovered by myself. In the old package this colour was called #2, now #7 but its still the same colour thank god! I don't always wear lipstick or a liquid lipstick, I like to feel comfortable and natural, and this lip balm gives me colour, but still feel moisturizing and light-weight. I will always buy from this range but I need this colour my life, because of this unique coral-orange colour, I'm hooked. No5 L'eau Chanel: I have been obsessed with Chanel fragrances, but never like the original Chanel No5, very heavy scented. I do still like COCO, but again "like" not obsessed with it. Then not long ago they released L'eau and I was hooked; its clean, fresh, and sophisticated smelling. Basically I always feel clean when I wear this, wired I know, but thats how I describe perfumes. This scent is already a staple to some many people and I will repurchase after I finish my first bottle. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation: This a cult favourite and my ride or die if I have a wedding, party, a bad skin day, want a full coverage look, but still look like myself. Its a no brainer for events because since there is no SPF in this, it won't give flash back in photos. My mom uses this foundation is the spring and summer months because its light weight and comfortable to wear. Its an oldie but a goodie. Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Match Stixs in light: Even though these just came out last month, I can't live without them. I can use them for eyeshadow, contour, concealer, lipstick, foundation for those no makeup makeup kind of days, etc. The flexibility of these products is insane, they are perfect for everyone and their lives; no matter the situation! Just try them! Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in exposed: This blush is just fuse free, easy to apply, and last for so long. When I don't know which one to wear, I reach for exposed. Even though I don't wear powders in the summer, I wear this blush only because it is that reliable. Love, Brittany |
